Cooper Dowling, known behind the decks as DJ Nappa, is an Australian Sydney-born, Melbourne-
based DJ and rising force in Australia’s underground house scene. With early roots in live music

picking up drums and guitar —his deep musicality and natural instinct for rhythm sets him apart.
After transitioning into electronic music, Dj Nappa honed a sound shaped by his broad love for
house music, drawing inspiration from the fun, energised, and uplifting grooves of the 90s and
early 2000s. His sets move effortlessly through multiple genres of house, Afro, UKG, and beyond
marked by versatility and a sharp focus on building momentum on the dancefloor.
Over the past couple of years, DJ Nappa has become a regular fixture in Melbourne’s club circuit.
He’s played at key venues including New Guernica Circus, Section 8 and Brown Alley as well as on
bush doof lineups across rural Victoria. As a resident of Eat the Beat Melbourne, His new monthly
event in New Guernica’s Attic has consistently packed out, featuring crowds that join him on high
energy, genre fluid, dynamic performances.
